Important information about the mug: The base (on the outside of the mug) is not completely flat. The mug has a slight indentation at the base, making it easier to place on and lift from the table and ensuring stability. The mug is glazed in the centre of the base (outermost part), but not on the 'ring' that 'contacts' the table. This raw surface also prevents the mug from sliding. However, condensation may sometimes form on the table with hot drinks – this is not a fault with the mug.
