Wauw design cup Songlines - white porcelain

2 BACK. The cup's name is Songlines. The cup appeals to the senses with its soft, wavy exterior, which makes it absolutely fantastic to hold and drink from. It is the cup that you will choose to drink coffee or tea from day after day - and never get tired of it.

Songlines is a hand-turned porcelain series. The expression is soft and poetic. The shape is first turned up and then the wave is turned into the object as a clear turning track following one's fingers, thus telling a story about an old craft.

The series has been named Songlines, as the wave made ceramicist Wauw Design think of Bruce Chatwin's novel of the same name, which is about, among other things, the secret songlines of the aborigines, musical-poetic geography and a very special outlook on life.
