Helle Gram

Barsler in Frederiksberg meant that one day I (Tine, founder of unika-k.dk) rolled past Helle Gram's workshop and shop on Allegade in Frederiksberg, and fell in love with the Chubby design. The characteristic chubby cup - round, chubby cup with a strong round handle - was one of the first cups on unika-k.dk. And it is available today in over 20 colours. Helle Gram's cozy Frederiksberg workshop, which I wheeled past, has now been replaced by a very scenic workshop in Frederikssund.

The ongoing popularity of the Chubby cup in our shop gave us the idea to make it even more personal. From 2016, it was therefore possible to order the cup with a text, name or date in the cup. We thought it would be the perfect, personal gift, e.g. for christenings, Christmas, Mother's Day etc. And many of you also order the chubby cup with a text that means something to you. Helle Gram casts her ceramics. The chubby cup with text is cast, and while the clay is still soft, Helle hand stamps letters into the clay, after which the cup is glazed and fired.
